Portal: Still Alive is a re-released version of Portal for the Xbox 360. It was exclusively released on Xbox Live Arcade on October 22, 2008. It contains the original story of Portal developed by Valve, 14 new bonus test chambers modified from the Portal: The Flash Version MapPack created by We Create Stuff, and 9 new achievements (12 total). There are no additional story-related levels.
Since the shutdown of the Xbox 360 Marketplace, Portal: Still Alive can no longer be purchased directly on an Xbox 360 console, but appears to still be available on the modern Xbox store, which would allow it to be played on newer Xbox consoles through backwards compatibility - whether or not purchasing it this way would also make it downloadable on Xbox 360 is currently unknown.
Still Alive has never been fully ported to any other platforms; the Nintendo Switch port of Portal includes the bonus chambers, but it is otherwise based on the original Orange Box version of the game, lacking the new achievements and some small details present in Still Alive on Xbox 360. An unofficial PC port of the bonus levels also exists, but it similarly lacks the new achievements, and is inaccurate to the original Xbox 360 version in some minor ways.

As some anonymous Valve developers say, every Portal: Still Alive bonus level is inspired by the Portal: The Flash Version map pack levels which were made by WeCreateStuff. Some game mechanics which were seen in the official Portal game trailer were implemented in the Still Alive expansion pack, such as the Crusher (a whole chamber's part took direct inspiration from the Crusher level in the trailer). The levels are not canon to the story of the main games. Some rumours surfaced that a second expansion pack was in the works but the rumours were quickly debunked.
