Destroyed Aperture is a community-made modification for Portal 2.
Story
Aperture Science Facility 7 is empty. Following the failure of the central core, the complex was consumed by overgrowth and decay. With the exits sealed and communications disabled, David Grayling, the protagonist, is trapped, helpless and alone, with no memories about his past. But when he discovers a portal gun, he is destined to escape. Teaming up with a core named Neado, David steps through the teleporter into the unknown. The continued fate of Grayling is still unknown due to the mod is still in development.
Mechanics
Destroyed Aperture's mechanics work similarly to Portal and Portal 2.
- New, "futuristic Portal Gun that's rusty"[1][2]
- New feature - Portable Button[3]
- Another new feature - currently kept secret by developers
- 23 levels in 5 chapters, with own story and increasing difficulty
- Custom in-game developer commentary
Characters
For now, we don't know many things about characters, their amount and personalities. Currently, we know 3 characters:
- David Grayling - main character played by player, trapped in Aperture Facility 7
- Neado - a personality core
- Announcer - propably the same as in Portal 2[4]
