Doug Rattmann: Difference between revisions

From the Portal Wiki
changed 'schizophrenia medication' to 'anti-psychotic medication', rewrote the section about Doug saving Chell because in the comic it's stated that all of the beds are offline due to the explosion knocking out the power, not that he takes the power and funnels them into hers.
m I was rewriting the name spelling inconsistencies section, but as it turns out, there *is* a line of dialogue in Portal 2 where it is written "Rattmann". The name inconsistency with the OST track can be noted on the OST page instead

Doug Rattman, also nicknamed as simply the Rat Man, was a scientist at the Aperture Science Enrichment Center. Prior to the events of Portal while GLaDOS began flooding the entire facility with neurotoxin, Rattman is the only known employee to have survived. A paranoid schizophrenic, he is dependent on anti-psychotic medication as a means of keeping him sane.

Rattman's name has been spelled both with one and two n's. However, because of Rattman's username "drattmann" in the Portal ARG, it is believed that the correct spelling is with two n's. This is because his username would have been created by Rattman himself, or automatically generated by Aperture Science from his personnel file. His name also appears with two n's in Portal: The Uncooperative Cake Acquisition Game.<br/>
Rattman's name appears with a single n spelling once, on the Songs to Test By track "Ghost of Rattman." This diverges from the common double n spelling, which causes confusion when it comes to the correct spelling.
