Okay, look: We both said a lot of things that you're going to regret, but I think we can put our differences behind us; for science... you monster.
GLaDOS
GLaDOS in Portal 2

GLaDOS, known in full as the Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System, is the computer system designed to control and oversee Aperture Laboratories, as well as the guide of the Aperture Science computer-aided Enrichment Center. She has the ability to shift and move the facilities and the chambers, making for seamless and almost infinite testing design.

GLaDOS is the main antagonist throughout Portal, and through the first half of Portal 2's single-player campaign. Throughout both games, GLaDOS continuously tests Chell's physical stature to the point of killing her under the guise of 'science', as well as mental strength as she taunts Chell endlessly through discouraging words and bemoaning. As the story progresses, she and the player are exposed to the rise and fall of Cave Johnson and the history of Aperture Science. As the player navigates their way through the ancient testing facilities, they learn more about Cave's increasingly desperate search for test subjects until his eventual death. During his final days, the story points out that GLaDOS may be Caroline, Johnson's right-hand woman. This was an attempt to merge man and machine, as well as attempting to cure Johnson of his "moon poisoning".

GLaDOS is voiced by Ellen McLain.
