Gel is a gameplay implement introduced in Portal 2. There are three variants of gel:
- Propulsion Gel – coloured orange, Propulsion Gel propels players horizontally;
- Repulsion Gel – coloured blue, Repulsion Gel allows players to bounce great distances; and
- Conversion Gel – coloured white, Conversion Gel enables a portal to be placed on a particular surface that would not normally allow it.
