Thermal Discouragement Beam is a video which was released by Valve on June 30, 2010 in order to promote Portal 2. The video provides a short segment of gameplay footage in which the Thermal Discouragement Beam is used to destroy multiple Turrets and successfully complete a Test Chamber.
