Articles relating to the game's mechanics must adhere to the following structure to ensure the articles are clear, concise and relevant.

Important: Mechanics that appear in community-made mods or test chambers should be documented within the respective mod or test chamber article under a section titled "Mechanics", rather than in a separate article. Given the vast number of mods, maintaining individual pages for each custom mechanic would be impractical.

Structure

Introduction

The introduction should cover briefly what the mechanic is and why it is used.

Function

This section should document the function - how it works - of the mechanic in detail for all the technical information that may be relevant to mappers and modders.

History

The history section is to document how the mechanic has changed throughout a games development, and/or how it has changed between games.

Demonstration

This section should include a YouTube video on the mechanic, demonstrating what it does, where it is used and the purpose it plays a game.
