{{Main|Weighted Companion Cube}}
The Weighted Companion Cube was first introduced in ''Portal'', and remains prevalent in ''Portal 2''. It functions in the same way as a regular Storage Cube, being differentiated only to help players to feel attached to the cube, and realize that they must keep the same cube throughout the entire chamber. If the player attempts to save the cube due to the lack of a [[Material Emancipation Grill]], GLaDOS incinerates the cube to mock their attempt to save it.
