:It's indeed pretty rickety at this point! It boils down to there being custom extensions that don't work with more recent versions of MediaWiki.... They're [https://github.com/ThePortalWiki/pwiki/tree/master/images/pwiki-app/extra/extensions listed here]. TBH I don't remember which one was the bottleneck exactly.
