::It's strongly hinted it is Caroline. Cave was very close to Caroline, so close that he would leave her in charge of his legacy. She was the woman behind Cave (not literally). Also IIRC, when you view the portrait in-game potato GLaDOS mentions that she recognizes both of them. The only clear candidate is Caroline. : Nothing more than simple speculation. In a cut [[GLaDOS]] line, she says "Stop! Chell, I am your MOTHER! Okay, I'm not really, but I could be!!!" but as it's cut (and I'm sure it wasn't serious on her part), I don't believe that any of them are actually related other than the company itself.
