Are you the same person as the account named "TheWrongGuy"? You both made the same edit to Weighted Companion Cube, so...
If so, both accounts can be merged in case you forgot the login details for one of them. You can also use the "Recover password" thingy.
As for the edit itself, I doubt Valve intended to reference the Companion Cube at that point in the game, but rather the Portal Gun that Chell holds. It's a hint to the player that portals should still work despite the heat. Whether this applies to the cube or not is an interesting theory, but it's just that (a theory), so it shouldn't be noted on the article. Sorry >: — Wind 05:21, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
