The video takes the form of an [[Aperture Science|Aperture Laboratories]] instructional video entitled "Romance Safety Compliance Guide", and uses Aperture Science's hallmark animations to depict four Valentine's Day workplace scenarios. An Aperture Science employee attempts to win the affections of a co-worker by offering chocolates, flowers and a diamond respectively, each of which leads to the co-worker's unfortunate demise.
