The Party Escort Bot is a mysterious character that appears at the end of Portal. Prior to the March 3, 2010 Patch, Portal ended with Chell awakening on the surface above the Aperture Science Facility. The Patch altered the ending however, and Chell was instead slowly dragged back towards the Facility by the unseen Party Escort Bot. The Bot itself possesses a mechanical tone, similarly to the Personality Cores, and its only statement is to thank Chell for " assuming the party escort submission position".
In Portal, GLaDOS refers to a "party associate" in the final test chamber, and this presumably refers to the Party Escort Bot. Because Chell does not follow proper procedure in the final Test Chamber, it is presumed that the Party Escort Bot was required to travel to the surface in order to retrieve her and "escort her to the party".
