The [[Excursion Funnel]] appears to be closely related to the Hard-Light Bridge, possibly originating as a 3-D version of the 2-D Bridge; or perhaps, the Bridge may have been invented second, by [[Wikipedia:Polarization_(waves)|polarizing]] a Funnel. Both can be sent through portals, defy gravity, and have a similar appearance.
