{{Auto lang cat}} is a simple template that categorizes non-English articles.
For example, {{auto lang cat}} will place Soldier/fr in the hidden category Category:Fr, along with all other French pages. This allows for better management of language translations in general, as the amount of translated pages can be calculated, and changes to these pages can be better managed.

This template is used on several high profile templates listed below. There is also an unknown number of "blind spot" pages that do not use any templates, and so {{auto lang cat}} cannot categorize them.
