"Want You Gone" é a canção que toca durante os créditos finais de Portal 2. Toca quando o jogador deixa as instalações da Aperture Science e recebe o Cubo Companheiro.

Conexão ao jogo/GLaDOS

  • "Well, here we are again" — Portal 2 sendo a sequência de Portal.
  • "Remember when you tried to kill me twice?" — Os eventos de Portal.
  • "Now I only want you gone" — GLaDOS decidindo não matar Chell e deixá-la ir embora.
  • "Now little Caroline is in here too" — Caroline é a personalidade em que GLaDOS foi baseada.
  • "Goodbye my only friend" — GLaDOS excluindo a personalidade de Caroline da sua memória.
  • "Well you have been replaced" // "I don't need anyone now" // "When I delete you maybe" // "I'll stop feeling so bad" — Chell sendo substituída por Atlas e P-Body como cobaias de testes principais da GLaDOS. Outra interpretação poderia ser que GLaDOS está referindo-se a Caroline, ao invés de Chell, já que a exclusão de Caroline liberará GLaDOS de emoções. Essa interpretação é menos consistente com o conceito de substituição nessa letra já que Caroline não está sendo substituída, Chell que está, mas é a mais consistente com as linhas sobre a exclusão e não sentir-se mal. É provável que as letras sejam uma referência misturado ambas Chell e Caroline.

Composição

"Want You Gone" foi escrita por Jonathan Coulton, que também escreveu "Still Alive", e cantada por Ellen McLain, a dubladora de GLaDOS, uma cantora de ópera e também a cantora de "Still Alive" em Portal.

Curiosidades

  • Após término da canção, a tela onde a canção foi exibida é mostrada flutuando no espaço e um clipe do Wheatley desejando pedir desculpas para Chell é exibido.
  • A linha cantada "I'll stop feeling so bad", é substituída por "[REDACTED]" durante os créditos cinematográficos. Antes do lançamento de Portal 2, "[REDACTED]" também era a descrição do Capacete dos Laboratórios Aperture em Team Fortress 2.
