Fratricide Do whatever it takes to survive. Difficulty: Story-related How to obtain: Burn the Weighted Companion Cube in Test Chamber 17.

Partygoer Make the correct party escort submission position decision. Difficulty: Story-related How to obtain: Escape from the burning pit and carry onto the escape levels after The Final Test.

Heartbreaker Complete Portal. Difficulty: Story-related How to obtain: Defeat GLaDOS and beat the game.

Friendly Fire Knock down a turret with another turret. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: Pick up a Turret and knock over another one while holding it.

Terminal Velocity Fall 30,000 feet. Difficulty: Easy How to obtain: Once you have acquired the dual portal gun in Test Chamber 11, you must be in a test chamber where you can place Portals on both the ceiling and the floor. Place a portal above and below you, then jump in and wait for around 5 minutes.

Long Jump Jump 300 feet. Difficulty: Medium How to obtain: Once you are in a long test chamber where you can place portals on the walls and the floor, place a portal on a wall, and place another below it on the floor, jump into the floor portal and keep placing portals on the floor while landing in them until you get the achievement.

Camera Shy Detach security cameras from the walls. Difficulty: Medium How to obtain: After you get the portal gun, detach every possible security camera from their walls by creating a portal behind the camera.

Transmission Received ..? Difficulty: Medium How to obtain: This achievement was added on March 1, 2010, leading to the announcement of Portal 2. Every chamber has a radio and a specific place you must bring it to. Refer to a guide with every location to make this much easier. Obtaining this achievement on your first playthrough is impossible, since the radios only show up after you complete the game once.

Cupcake Beat two Portal advanced maps. Difficulty: Medium How to obtain: Beat two of the Advanced Chambers. They can be found in the main menu. It is best to go through these in order. Not as hard as the challenge achievements, just be patient.

Basic Science Earn bronze medals on all Portal challenges. Difficulty: Hard How to obtain: Finish all the challenges with at least a bronze rating. Bronze ratings are usually just the most efficient way to solve a chamber in their intended ways, so just watch your step and be patient.

Rocket Science Earn silver medals on all Portal challenges. Difficulty: Hard How to obtain: Finish all the challenges with at least a silver rating. Refer to Aperture Science; this achievement is not as strict but will still require patience and skill.

Aperture Science Earn gold medals on all Portal challenges. Difficulty: Very Hard How to obtain: Finish all the challenges with at least a gold rating. Follow guides religiously and don't be discouraged when you fail.
