You're kidding me. Did you just stuff that Aperture Science Thing-We-Don't-Know-What-It-Does into an Aperture Science Emergency Intelligence Incinerator?

— GLaDOS

The Portal series is heavily story-based, as such any information regarding the story may be damaging to the experience of new players or players of whom have not completed the game. To reduce the exposure of Spoilers to players, there are two types of "spoiler warnings" we have on the Wiki that we require to be used in regards to spoilers.

"Spoiler Alert" box.

Example

How to use it

Place the following code: {{Spoiler}}; at the top of any article.

When to use it

The Spoiler Alert box should be used on any article that is focused on, or contains a large amount of information relating to, the Storyline of the Portal series or anything a player is likely to wish to discover themselves. It should always be placed at the top of an article.

Blacked-out text.

Example

This is a blacked-out piece of text

How to use it

The text you wish to black-out should be the first parameter of the {{Spoiler text}} template. The above example is: {{Spoiler text|This is a blacked-out piece of text}}

When to use it

This template should be used to black-out spoilers on pages that are otherwise spoiler-less. For example, the Wiki's Main Page should always remain spoilerless, however spoilers may be displayed via the Featured Article module is the featured article is a Spoiler-ful article.. In such case, it would be appropriate to use the blacked-out text to hide those spoilers.
