긴급 지식 소각로는 에퍼쳐 사이언스 시설 지하에 있는 소각로로 사물을 이동시키는 이동 치이다. 긴급 지식 소각로는 게임 내에서 드물게 나타나지만, 포털과 포털 2 모두에서 등장한다. 긴급 지식 소각로는 포털에서 핵심적인 역할을 하며, 단 두 번만 등장한다. 포털 2에서는 초반부에 잠시 등장한다.
기능
긴급 지식 소각로의 목적은 이곳에 집어 넣으므로서 에퍼쳐 사이언스의 기술을 안전하고 효율적으로 폐기하기 위한 것이다. 포털에선, 플레이어는 다음 테스트로 진행하기 위해서 동행 큐브를 불태워 버리는 목적으로 사용한다. 마지막 스테이지에서는 GLaDOS를 처치하기 위해 지능 코어를 파괴하는 목적으로 사용한다.

- 포털 2에서는 포털의 마지막 스테이지였던 GLaDOS의 방에서 긴급 지식 소각로를 발견할 수 있다. 그곳에서 재가동된 GLaDOS는 플레이어를 긴급 지식 소각로로 떨어뜨린다. 긴급 지식 소각로에서 완전한 휴대용 포털 장치를 얻을 수 있다.
