:Possibly, but it's not the same kind of incinerator. At any rate, this sort of statement (linking one piece of dialog of the game with another event in a way that the writers probably didn't intend) is speculation, thus should only be written on the talk page and not on the article itself. So yay for you since you wrote it here and not on the article~ — Wind 19:10, 15 March 2012 (UTC) | |||

In Portal 2, test chamber 7 (one with the companion cube), GLaDOS disintegrates two of the cubes. After playing it for a number of times, I realised that the sound is not the same as the original disinegration sound (of other stuff). After comparing the two recodred audio clips from my gameplay using Audacity, companion cube one had another noise added to it, something like a distant yelling, as if it cursing GLaDOS. Can someone comfirm? No0ne (talk) 21:38, 2 March 2014 (UTC) |

"However, the Companion Cube can be seen prior to the end credits next to the cake, suggesting that it survived".
- I guess that's not the proof, because depending on the Portal 2 info there are many of Companion Cubes, but at the end it says that the scorched cube is ejected after Chell, and its old Portal 1 cube, so it may be that first cube Chell had to drop to the incinerator, that could be a better proof.

Official Personality Test Info
The official Aperture Science Collaborative Disposition Test describes the Companion Cube as:
”Stalwart and dependable, you’re always willing to give a friend the shirt off your back, a shoulder to cry on, or a step up. Compatible cooperative test partners include shirtless people who can’t stop crying while they use you as stairs.“
I'm not sure what section this information best goes under, so I'll just leave it here for now. - MewtwoWarrior 02:20, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
- This information is now found at the Collaborative Disposition Test page. - MewtwoWarrior 22:52, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
Surviving the incineration
GLaDOS says when Chell is going to get cake (get killed by incineration) "All Aperture Science Laboratory equipment can survive up to 4,000 degrees Kelvin (3,726.8 celsius 6,740.3 fahrenheit)" so it did survive. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Leoleosuper (talk) • (contribs)

Disintegration sound
In Portal 2, test chamber 7 (one with the companion cube), GLaDOS disintegrates two of the cubes. After playing it for a number of times, I realised that the sound is not the same as the original disinegration sound (of other stuff). After comparing the two recodred audio clips from my gameplay using Audacity, companion cube one had another noise added to it, something like a distant yelling, as if it cursing GLaDOS.
