It was confirmed by programmer Jon Burton, founder of Traveller's Tales, that each period represents a 0 and each comma, a 1. They are spaced out and form a series of binary values that represent symbols in the ASCII lookup table. When translated, they form "1jhn1:9," which may be a reference to the Christian Bible verse 1 John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
