Requirements
- Be able to run Portal and Portal 2 at a resolution of either 1280x720 or 1920x1080 (16:9 ratio), at more than 30 frames per second. The graphics details do not matter at this stage(?).
- A capable notepad editor (we recommend that you use Notepad++ or any similar software).
Preparation
- Edit the scripts so GLaDOS/Wheatley/Announcer/Cave Johnson no longer speak during tests.
- Back these files up, found in
Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2\scripts
.game_sounds_auto_generated.txt
game_sounds_announcer_auto_generated.txt
game_sounds_cave_auto_generated.txt
game_sounds_sphere03_auto_generated.txt
- Find and replace all instances of '.wav' with '.shush'.
- Back these files up, found in

Recording
