Atlas has a blue eye, but his eye was red in early designs. GLaDOS created the testing initiative after {{spoiler|[[Chell]] killed her the first time, during ''Portal''}}. Along with [[P-body]], the two bots are pitted against a series of tests built by [[GLaDOS]] herself, utilizing the many different aspects encountered by [[Chell]] in single-player.
