The Walking Turret was a Sentry Turret variant that was cut late in the development of Portal.

Overview
The Walking Turret was first revealed in concept art during the PotatoFoolsDay ARG in 2011. Its design is similar to that of the standard Sentry Turret, with a spherical body, an orange colored "eye", and a single side-mounted gun. In the concept art, it can be seen exiting a blue portal, implying that it may have been able to follow players throughout test chambers through their linked portals.

The Walking Turret could also collapse into a "fling, or ball pose", which presumably would allow it to fling itself through portals. This pose could also have been its idle pose, possibly activated by the player through some form of trigger or proximity.

Valve animator Karen Prell explained that the Walking Turret was cut because it, "didn't work [well]" as a game mechanic.

The Frankenturret would be the replacement of the walking turret since it walks

The Crusher is introduced in Portal 2, and is a derivative of Aperture Science's Panel technology. Crushers are an environmental hazard present in several test environments. If a test subject makes contact with a Crusher, they will be forced into the nearest hard surface and killed instantly. Crushers appear as large grey panels with a number of steel spikes firmly attached to them.

Crushers become more frequent during the final parts of the game , and also appear frequently in Cooperative Testing Initiative.

Function
Any object, including the player, will be perforated instantly upon contact with a Crusher. When active, a loud crunching noise is emitted in order to warn the player that they are approaching a Crusher, thereby allowing the player to avoid them.

In Co-op mode, if the player comes in contact with a Crusher while floating in an Excursion Funnel, the damage caused will be periodic until the player moves away or dies.

Trivia
* Crushers were originally intended to appear in Portal, but were removed in the early stages of game development due to the additional complexity Valve added to test chambers.cite

* Crushers appear in Portal: The Flash version, a 2D flash game released prior to Portal. Later, they appeared in the Portal: The Flash Version MapPack modification, and were eventually reintroduced into Portal: Still Alive.
** They also have appeared in fan-made mods, including Portal: Prelude and Portal: Project-Beta.

* . This contradicts with the Panels Investment Opportunity video as a Crusher is clearly visible in the last part of the video,

* An icon of a Crusher can be found in the Puzzle Creator's files.

* Wheatley refers to crushers as "mashy spike plates".

The Reflection Gel replaced the Adhesion Gel in the Portal 2 Authoring Tools in the major update of their first DLC. It's still unused in both the single-player and multi-player campaigns.

Function
The gel, when painted on a wall, floor or ceiling, can reflect lasers off of it, like the Discouragement Redirection Cube, and can be used on the same surface multiple times.

Demonstrations
Since the properties of the gel were left in the code of Portal 2, community map makers incorporated the gel into some of their maps, only having some problems with missing textures and some animations.

myW3mmMbcnE

Trivia
*The Reflection Gel uses a slightly darker texture than the Conversion Gel, but it does not have the same properties, like making a non-portal conductive surface able to conduct portals.

*It's one of the two gels that wasn't based on any of the Tag: The Power of Paint gels. The other one is the Conversion Gel.

*One of the functions of Reflection Gel left in the code of Portal 2 is being able to cancel the Propulsion Gel's effects on objects. It's a leftover property of the unused Adhesion Gel.

*When this gel hits the player, it shows the screen effect of the Propulsion Gel.

*The gel is also able to reflect the laser emitted by a Turret. However, it is purely cosmetical and has no effect on the turret's vision.

*This can be a item if BeeMod is installed
