Tento gel je světle modrá látka, která poskytuje odpuzující schopnosti. Všechny objekty, podobně jako [[Kostky]] a [[Střílny]], který narazí na povrch potažený odpuzujícim Gelom se buď odrazí od gelu nebo si objekt potažený odpuzovacím Gelom bude skákat po celém místě. Vzhledem k dopadu, výška, ze které předmět testu padá před přistáním na povrchu gelu pokryté ovlivňuje výšku skoku. Zkušební předměty mohou také použít gel pro pohyb tam a zpět mezi dvěma rovnoběžnými plochami, než aby pouze poháněny nahoru a dolů.

The '''Space Sphere''' (more commonly known as the '''Space Core''') is a corrupted [[Cores#Personality Cores|personality core]] of male programming who first appears in ''[[Portal 2]]''. {{Spoiler|He is the first of three cores attached to [[Wheatley]] by [[Chell]] in order to initiate a Core Transfer Procedure.}}

The Space Sphere speaks in a hyperactive manner, constantly talking about his infatuation with outer space and how he would like to one day go to space. However, a small portion of his dialogue states that he eventually gets bored of space and wants to return to Earth. {{Spoiler|His dream of going to space is fulfilled after he gets sucked through a [[portal]] that sends him and Wheatley into space. After the song "Want You Gone" at the end of the game, the Space Sphere can be heared along with [[Wheatley]].

Goo is usually present within testing chambers in order to provide a penalty for failure, and to ensure that test subjects are precise with their movements and positioning of their [[portals]].

Objects that have fallen into the goo are irretrievable. In such cases where testing elements like the [[cubes]] are needed to solve a test, a replacement will be issued immediately if the first one was dropped into the goo. Appearance-wise in ''[[Portal]]'', the goo appears as a mixture of red, green, and brown-colored liquid with a swirled appearance.
