Wheatley Update is a video which was released by Valve on August 24, 2010 in order to promote Portal 2. The video contains a series of vignettes from the early stages of the game, and its objective was to provide more information about Wheatley's character and personality, as well as demonstrate the way in which the player would interact with him. This was released shortly after Wheatley's voice was revealed to be provided by Stephen Merchant.[1]
